    Tradition's Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event and all USAT rules will be followed and strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of the athlete to be familiar with those rules, which can be found at www.usatriathlon.org.

    Packet Pickup

    There will be same day packet pick-up for out of town participants (please limit this option to out of town participants). Please bring ID and USAT membership card (if applicable. If you bought a one day license, we have that information). Someone else can pick up your packet with a copy of your drivers license and USAT. We will not mail your packet.

    Where is Tradition Village Located?

    Tradition Village is located at 12500 Village Ave East, Biloxi, MS.

    Directions: from I-10 take exit 38 for MS-605 toward Lorraine/Cowan Rd. Head north onto MS-605 N/Lorraine Rd. Continue following MS-605 N for about 7 miles. Take the ramp onto MS-67 N. Continue following MS-67 N for about 1 mile. Turn left on Tradition Pkwy. Turn right into Tradition Village (make an immediate left). Follow this to the lake. NO PARKING on the street.


    Will Tradition's Triathlon be wetsuit legal? Our 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016 races were wetsuit legal. Water temperatures for this area during this time range from 72-78 degrees.

    Where can I rent a wetsuit? We have partnered with www.triwetsuitrentals.com Use code FINISH1 (all caps) to receive 10% off your rental. Price about $60.30 (which includes shipping both ways).

    Can I practice swim in the lake? Tradition's has authorized our participants access to the lake as of March 1st. Please be courtesy as this is a community. Do not leave behind trash, keep noise level down, swim only during daylight hours, do not block the roadways or driveways. The lake will not be open for swimming after the triathlon.

    Race Day Info

    Transition opens at 6am on Saturday. Race starts at 8am. Time trial start with a "seed yourself" swim start option. If you think you'll finish the swim in under 8mins, you'll enter the water first. 9-10mins, 10-11mins. 12-13mins, 13-14mins, 14-15mins, 15mins + will enter the water, accordingly. We will maintain the integrity of the time trial start with athletes entering the water every 5 seconds.


    We have a designated parking area. Follow signs and volunteers. Do NOT under any circumstance park on any of the streets. Please carpool as parking gets crowded quick.

    Adverse Weather

    The event will be delayed only due to lightning, hail, or other disastrous weather. In other words, rain or shine, heat or cold, we're racing. If the event is canceled due to weather, it will be rescheduled for a later date. No refunds due to weather.
